Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist DEWEY has been on our radar since her early associations with Speedy Wunderground (listen to 'Loch Linnhe' here) and her more recent collaboration with Savage Gary - the frankly incredible 'Pearl Elevator'. DEWEY's new single 'Savannah' landed this morning and it lives up to and surpasses our already high expectations. Co-produced by DEWEY and Dan Carey, the whimsical intro balances simply plucked guitars, shimmering sound effects and layer upon layer of DEWEY's stunning vocals. Introducing a dancey kick at the 40 second mark, 'Savannah' takes flights as DEWEY's poignant lyrics "Savannah, Savannah, Savannah I’m working to die alone in here" steal focus. Full of twists and turns, 'Savannah' demands repeat listens, packing shiny dream-pop, thick electronics and airy folk-tinged melodies into an immersive 3 minute-ish morsel.
